I Saw Him Last Night

Size: 75 x 90 cm
Material: Paper/Printmaking/Marker/Fishing Line/Acrylic Plate

I showcased my artwork using two distinct mediums: woodcuts and three-dimensional illustrations on acrylic boards inspired by these woodcuts. I employed dialogue as a tool to advance the plot and gradually reveal the underlying truth. With vintage-style graphics reminiscent of classic movie posters, I aimed to infuse the semi-detective narrative with a sense of suspense. The visual narrative unfolds on two planes: the direct interactions between the sheriff and the witnesses, juxtaposed with the unfolding storyline discussed in their conversation. In the final depiction, intentional lighting casts shadows from the upper image layer to the bottom, creating a rich, multi-layered effect.
