On a rainy day, maybe inspired by the sound of raindrops, I suddenly had an idea to make an animation about rain. I used three woodblocks to shoot the stop-motion animation and told a story with these blocks. In the first beginning, I coated the whole blocks with black printing ink and carved the story on the blocks based on the pictures taken with each frame. The convexities on the blocks would be on the decrease and disappeared completely in the end.
